What an amazing week! I recently returned from Las Vegas, where I had the opportunity to learn from some of the most influential experts, movers, and shakers in the real estate industry. With seismic changes on the horizon regarding agent compensation and its impact on both buyers and sellers, the insights from attorneys, MLS representatives, and CEOs of major brokerage firms were invaluable, bringing much-needed clarity to the subject. The room was filled with approximately 1,500 agents, all sharpening their skills and strategies.
We kicked off the week with Luxury Connect, a specialized event centered on luxury real estate and the strategies essential for today’s market. Agents had the chance to network with and learn from industry leaders who specialize in luxury real estate—those with popular TV shows and massive online followings. Surprisingly, many were reminded that a TV show doesn’t automatically guarantee success. Hard work is still the cornerstone, with visibility, consistency, and exceptional, discreet service being key to maintaining long-term success.
Of course, I also had some well-earned downtime in the afternoons, which I used to network and reconnect with friends and fellow agents. Having attended Inman Luxury and Inman Connect Las Vegas for the past four years, I’ve built relationships with many of the regular attendees—successful agents, team leads, and broker-owners who, like me, are committed to continuously investing in their knowledge. We indulged in amazing food, splashed around in the pool, and strengthened our networks.
I’m proud to serve as an Inman Ambassador, representing Hawaii and eXp Realty for the fourth year in a row. It’s an honor to have been invited into this role, thanks to my knowledge, social media presence, and industry connections. With around 25 Inman Ambassadors across the U.S. and Canada, we get to represent the brand and help fellow agents elevate their real estate knowledge and careers. The experience has been nothing short of incredible—I’ve traveled to Las Vegas and New York, attended fantastic vendor-sponsored events, and connected with some of the most amazing people in the Inman Connect community. I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. It’s been an absolute blast!
